The bride is the daughter of Van and Bené Deacon of Cleveland.
The bridegroom is the son of Karen Saunders Smith of Jasper and Don and Beth Smith of Cleveland.
The wedding was officiated by the Rev. Dr. Joel Huffstetler, pastor of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church. Nuptial music was provided by Mary Beth Wicks.
The bride was presented in marriage by her father and attended by Jennifer Sheely of Cleveland, maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Jill Hammond, Abigail Elrod, Emily Matthews and Molly Near, all of Cleveland, Mandy Mersereau and Katie Pfafenbeerger, both of Atlanta and Keshma Odeny of Chattanooga.
Josh Malone of Little Rock, Arkansas, served as best man to the bridegroom. Groomsmen included the bridegroom’s brothers, Chad Smith and Camden Smith, Daniel Elrod, Jason Malone, Jansen Vassey, Dave Sheely and Mark Robinson, all of Cleveland.
Children in the wedding party were Mary Elizabeth Hicks and Kate Hutto, flower girls, and ring bearer Cade Smith, the bridegroom’s nephew. Leah Carlson served as wedding coordinator.
The bride’s parents gave the Kentucky Derby-themed reception at Cleveland County Club.
Mr. and Mrs. Smith reside in Cleveland.
