Sheriff’s Office honors employees for service

DETECTIVE KEVIN WHITE was honored as Employee of the Year for the Criminal Investigations Division.
The Bradley County Sheriff’s Office recently recognized several individuals for service and commendation. A brief ceremony was held to present awards for service.

Lt. James Brown, a veteran officer who is in charge of security at the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office, was presented with his 30-year service award.

Receiving 20-year awards were Detective Shaunda Efaw, Lt. Cheryl Holloway, Lt. Jimmy Smith, Lt. Wayne White and Sgt. Jerry Rogers.

Bradley County Sheriff Jim Ruth presented the Sheriff’s Office Commendations to Deputy Paul Allen of the Patrol Division; Cassandra Burgiss, evidence curator; Lt. Bob Hancock of the Training Division; Deputy Alan Ledford of the Bradley County Jail Corrections Division; and Deputy Daniel Watson, also of the Patrol Division.

Employees of the Year included deputies Rick Cope of Judicial Services, Doug Graham of Patrol Division, Jay Lawson of Special Operations SRO, Karen Parker of Corrections, Sgt. Doug Towne of the Training Division and Detective Kevin White of the Criminal Investigations Division.

Deputies Glenn Dunn and Roger Graham, both of the Corrections Division, were recognized for their military service.

Sgt. Shane McKee was honored as being the supervisor of the year in the Patrol Division.

Major Jim Hodgson of Administrative Services was commended for career excellence. Hodgson has been in law enforcement for 37 years.

A number of other yearly service awards and ribbons were also provided to employees of the sheriff’s office.
