Ruth Kilpatrick Huff, 95, of Cleveland, passed away Friday, Nov. 1, 2013, in a local health care facility.

She was the second child born to the late Louella Ratcliff Burchfiel and Arnold Andrew Burchfiel.

She was preceded in death by her first husband of 60 years, Harry L. Kilpatrick; her second husband, Floyd Huff; her seven siblings: Naomi Howard, Pat Johnson, Ann Adkins, John William Burchfiel, Andy Burchfiel, Grace Dixon and Regina Cox.

She was retired from American Uniform Co. with over 50 years of service. She was past Worthy Matron of Harmony Chapter 143 Order of the Eastern Star, where she became an honorary lifetime member.

At the time of her death, she was a member of the Eastanallee Baptist Church in McMinn County, but she was a 50-year plus member of the First Baptist Church in Cleveland, where she was very active.

Survivors include daughter, Helen Burch and her husband Harry, of Birchwood; her loving grandson: Jim Burch; granddaughter, Joy Gallaher and her husband David; her great-grandchildren: Jamie Lofgren and her husband Brandt, Lauren Herald and her husband Rich, Patrick Gallaher, Jason Burch and Charlene Gregory, Stephen Gallaher, Rachel Gallaher, Essie Gallaher and Micah Gallaher; great-great-grandchildren: Leah Walker, Benjamin Walker, Miriam Walker, Dagny Walker, Rees Lofgren and Connor Gallaher; sister, Edna Daugherty; brother, Bob Burchfiel and his wife Jean; and a host of nieces and nephews.

A Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted today, Nov. 3, 2013, at 4 p.m., from the North Ocoee Chapel of the Jim Rush Funeral Homes, with her former Sunday school teacher, Don Johnson officiating.

Interment will follow in the Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with David Cox, Sam Arms, Jeffrey Burchfiel, Buddy McClary, Carl Maples and Brandt Lofgren serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 2 until 4 p.m. today at the funeral home.
