Richard K. Wilcut Sr., 72, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Monday, April 22, 2013, at the family residence.

He was of the Baptist faith. He was a retired veteran of the United States Navy, having served for 21 years. He was a member of the American Legion Post No. 81.

He was the son of the late Warren Everett Wilcut and Hallie Mae Kirby Wilcut. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Mary Ann Busch; brothers: Harold Wilcut and Warren Wilcut; and grandson, Christopher Miracle.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Barbara Wilcut of Cleveland; three children: Robin Wilcut Bledsoe and husband, Gerald, of Loudon, Dayna Renee Santos and husband, Daniel, of Roswell, Ga., and Richard Kirby Wilcut Jr. and wife, Becky, of Albany, Ga.; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one brother, Ronnie Wilcut of San Antonio.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 24, 2013, at the Mountain View Cemetery near Benton with the Rev. Richard Mason officiating.

The family suggests memorials be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 7625 Hamilton Park Drive, Suite 8, Chattanooga TN 37421.
