Ray Ogle, Sr.,91, of Cohutta, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 10, 2013 at his residence.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Mary Lavisha Ogle; two brothers, Clyde Ownby and Rellie Ogle; two sisters, Winnie Ensley and Nellie Roberts.
He was a World War II veteran of the United States Army.
He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Mary Ruth Ogle of the residence; three daughters and sons-in-law, Freida and Arlie Barbree of Chattanooga, Patsy and Barron Peeples of Chatsworth and Vicki and Clifford Hudgins, of Cleveland; son and daughter-in-law, Ray, Jr. and Emma Lee Ogle of Cleveland; sister, Ina Shultz of Cohutta; brothers, Homer Ogle of the Beaverdale Community and Dot “Roy” Ogle of Chatsworth; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews also survive.
The funeral service to honor the life of Ray Ogle, Sr. will be held Sunday, Aug. 11, 2013, at 4 p.m. at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Clay Sutton officiating. Burial will be in Fraziers Cemetery in Cohutta. Serving as pallbearers will be: Todd Hudgins, Jeff Shuler, Bryce Peeples, Parker Ogle, Ray Ogle, III and David Ogle.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday, Aug. 11, 2013, from 2 p.m. until the service time at 4 p.m.
