Neva Marie Imogene Lockman, 91, of Medora, Ind., died Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2013, at Hoosier Christian Village in Brownstown, Ind.
She was born on Dec. 13, 1921 in Charlestown, Ind. She was married on Nov. 1, 1945 to Charles F. Lockman in Dalton, Ga.
She was preceded in death by her parents Quinn and Annie Heifner Pitts; one granddaughter, Michele Smith; brothers: Glenn Pitts and Leonard Pitts; and two sisters, Pauline Beck and Virginia Kelly.
She was a member of Medora Christian Church. She enjoyed flowers gardening, quilting and crocheting. She was a housewife.
Survivors include her husband, Charles F. Lockman; daughter, Patricia Marie (George) Adams of Seymour, Ind.; two grandchildren: Lisa Kaye (Mike) Dailey of Cleveland; and Jennifer Marie (Joe) Sawyer of Crothersville, Ind.; three great-grandchildren: Michael (Shannon) Epps of San Diego, Justin (Destiny) Smith of Seymour and Kayla Barnett of Crothersville; and two great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 31, 2013, at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc. in Brownstown with David Sawyers officiating.
Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery in Brownstown.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until the time of the service, Saturday.
