The Myles Howard Family will headline the Cowboy Gospel Jubilee, Friday night at 7 at the Cleveland Cowboy Church.

“Myles, Janet and Cliff make up one of the most respected families in Southern Gospel music,” said the Rev. Will Nichols, producer of the weekly musical review.

“Through their many years of singing together they have developed a wonderful, unmistakable family harmony. This will be their third time to headline the Jubilee.”

Following a long tradition of spreading the Gospel in song, Myle’s unmistakable, distinctive piano style gained him national recognition as a premier quartet pianist and he has been an inspiration for many musicians for nearly half a century. He has played piano for such legends as Jake Hess, James Blackwood, Bill Shaw and Jack Toney.

There is no admission to the show and the public is invited. It’s a casual, come-as-you-are event. Door prizes are awarded and a love offering is taken for the headliners.

Regulars on the Jubilee include Danny O’Boyle, Emily Varnell, Elmer Bramlett, and the Cowboy Church Band and Chorale. Nichols, known as The Gospel Gun, is the announcer.

The event is held at the Cleveland Cowboy Church, 3040 Blythe Road between Blackburn and Blue Springs Roads, just off Dockery Lane in the Dockery Heights subdivision.
