Magnolia Garden Club’s March luncheon meeting was hosted by Fredricka Lawson at Beyond the Garden Gate Tea Room in Ooltewah. Magnolia Garden Club’s March luncheon meeting was hosted by Fredricka Lawson at Beyond the Garden Gate Tea Room in Ooltewah Linda Cross led the members in a devotion saying “The Lord’s Prayer.”

Maggi Burns, director of the Tennessee Federation of Garden Clubs, District III, installed new officers for 2013 through 2015. Her installation program was “Movers and Shakers.”

The newly elected officers are Fredricka Lawson, president; Annette Stanbery, vice president; Sue Taylor, treasurer; and Elsie Yates, secretary.

Members voted to accept new member Sheila Cardin into the club. Lawson conducted a short business meeting. Taylor gave the treasurer’s report and Yates gave the secretary’s report.

The Deep South Convention held in Savannah, Ga., on Macy 24-27 was attended by Stanbery, Yates and Lawson.

Others attending were Patsy Bettis, Chloe Littrell, Bess Neil and Erma Brewer.
