MARS CHOCOLATE NORTH AMERICA and its associates participated in the annual Bring Your Kids to Work Day. The Cleveland site and its associates invited their daughters and sons between the ages of 8 and 18 to attend. The girls and boys participated in interactive learning activities at the Mars site that organizers hope will help lead this new generation at work toward a future where they can participate fully in work, family, and community. It is the intent that the associates of Mars Chocolate North America will serve as role models and will inspire the girls and boys to strive to attain their full potential. Moreover, girls and boys will discover how courses such as science, math, English, and business can better prepare them for a wide variety of jobs and will become aware of the skills needed to be hired in specific professions. Bradley County Emergency Medical Service, Cleveland Fire Department, Cleveland Police Department, and The Bradley County Sheriff’s Office were all in attendance at the event at M&M Mars. Children of all ages were able to see the different emergency vehicles and learn about each profession. “We all showed the kids what we do in our respective roles as emergency responders and tried to instill tidbits of safety information that will hopefully help them when they make decisions in the future,” noted Stan Clark, Bradley County EMS.
