Paul Doss of 983 Hancock Road said the small red-and-black statue was believed to have been taken between Dec. 25 and Jan. 5.
The statue was on the Doss residence porch.
According to an initial offense report filed by deputy Chad Nave, the statue was valued at $100.
Nave noted in his report there were no additional leads or suspects at the time the report was filed Tuesday.
- Cleveland Police detective Walter Mitchell is in charge of investigating an apparent burglary during which someone entered a Zuis Court residence and took several items.
According to an offense report filed by officer Bobby Ruth of the Cleveland Police Department, an Insignia 40-inch television, a 19-inch television and a pair of Ray-Ban sunglasses were taken from a residence occupied by Kate Lawson.
Lawson’s mother said she had left her daughter’s apartment and returned a short time later to find the door “slightly open,” according to the report.
Kitty Ruberti found someone had forced entry into the residence.
Ruberti then noticed the televisions and sunglasses were missing.
Damage to the apartment was assessed at $540. Lawson’s loss was estimated at $850.
Investigation is continuing.
- Bradley County detectives continue to work on two burglary cases which were reported in the southwestern section of the county.
One burglary occurred just before the new year, and the other just after, according to reports filed by deputies Sam Long and Paul Allen.
Allen responded to Old Alabama Road on Jan. 2 to speak with Betty Clinton, who found her door had been kicked in. Once inside, burglars took jewelry and other items.
A cigarette butt was found on the ground near the door.
Clinton told the deputy no one in the household smokes cigarettes.
On Jan. 2, Long spoke with Dewayne Atchley at his Pleasant Grove Lane residence.
Atchley returned home to find a television and other items missing.
A cigarette butt was also located at the Atchley residence.
According to the reports, evidence was collected at the scene of both burglaries.
Atchley’s loss was estimated at $1,650.
No estimate was listed regarding Clinton’s loss.
