Gov. Bill Haslam and State Rep. Eric Watson recently announced the appointments of four Tennesseans from the 22nd House District to state boards and commissions.

The list includes two individuals from Bradley County and two from Meigs County. They are: Allison Chancey, Cleveland, State Board of Education; William Lamb, Cleveland, Volunteer Tennessee Commission; Judy McAllister, Decatur, State Board of Cosmetology; and Steve Miller, Decatur, Tennessee Career and Technical Education Council.

“I appreciate the commitment of these men and women to serve their fellow Tennesseans, and I want to thank them for their willingness to give their time and effort to these issues,” Haslam said.

The governor continues to evaluate the state’s complete range of boards and commissions to identify potential reforms that might be made to ensure Tennesseans have a government that is responsive, effective and efficient.

“Each one of these appointments are hardworking, dedicated individuals, that will do a tremendous job at the task they are given" Watson said. “Tennessee will be well-represented on these boards and commissions.”
