Cleveland State Baseball Coach Mike Policastro will conduct the following summer Baseball Camps: The Youth Pitcher/Catcher Camp will be held June 10-12 from 9-11:30 a.m. The Youth Hitting Camp will be June 17-19 from 9-11:30 a.m. Both camps will be for ages 8-16. The cost for the camps is $60 per session and includes a camp T-shirt. There is a $5 discount per camp registration if a participant registers for more than one of the camps. Fundamental basketball skills development training conducted by Vincent Yarbrough will be available on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday for the duration of the summer at Cleveland High School. Sessions will last 90 minutes. Yarbrough, a former Cleveland Blue Raider, was a 1998 McDonald’s High School All-American and was All-Sec at Tennessee. He was drafted by the Denver Nuggets of the NBA. Lee University will host camp sessions at Olympic Field in June and July. A camp for ages 5-15 will run June 10-13 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. The cost for the camp is $95 or $175 for two brothers and includes a T-shirt. There is also a special team rate. The camp will be conducted by Lee staff and players. The camp will stress baseball fundamentals including hitting, bunting, throwing, defense and base running. Games will be played each day. An advanced hitting/pitching/catching camp for ages 8-17 will be held July 8-10 from 9 a.m.-12 noon (hitting) and 1-3 p.m. (pitching/catching). The annual Bear Baseball Camp will be held June 10-12 at the McKenzie Baseball Complex on the campus of Bradley Central High School. With fundamental hitting, fielding and pitching instruction for ages 5-12, the camp will run from 9 a.m. until noon each day. The cost is $50 per camper. The Walker Valley Mustang Basketball Camp will be held June 10-13 at “The Stable.” Open to boys and girls graces 1-8, the daily sessions will run from 9 a.m. until noon. Cost of the camp is $50. University of Tennessee men’s basketball coach Cuonzo Martin will be holding one of four “Statewide Hoops Outreach Tour” clinics at Cleveland High School June 11. The event is for players in grades K-6 and will be held from 6-8 p.m. in the Raider Dome. The Marty Rowe Skills & Drills Basketball Camp will be held at Lee University’s Walker Arena June 24-28, from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. each day. Early drop off, late pick up available. On Friday, June 28 the camp will wrap up with an awards ceremony at noon. The cost for the camp is $135 (register before May 15 is $125). Cleveland State Men's Basketball Coach Lee Cigliano will be conducting summer youth basketball camps in June and July for ages 6-15. The camps will run from 9 a.m.-12 noon. The cost of the camps are $60 and include a camp T-shirt. The first Camp will be June 10-13. The second Camp will be July 22-25, 2013, for ages 6-15. Concessions will be available. The Cleveland Basketball Individual Camp for boys ages 6-15 will feature Vincent Yarbrough and be held June 17-19 at CHS. The cost for the camp is $50 with a brother rate of $85. The Cleveland Middle School girls and boys basketball camp for rising second through sixth graders will be held June 17-19 at Cleveland Middle School from 5-8 p.m. The camp will be run by CMS girls basketball coach Amy McGowan. The Bradley County Juniors Golf Clinic for ages 5-17 will be held at Cleveland Country Club on the following dates: June 10, 17 and July 1, 22, 29. Ages 5-10 will go from 8-9:30 a.m. and ages 11-17 will go from 9:45-11:15. A final tournament will take place Aug. 5. The third annual Dustin Ledford Live Wide Open Golf tournament will be hosted by Chatta Valley Golf Club on June 8. Tee time for the 4-person. select shot tournament is 8 a.m. The cost is $50 per person. Individual entrants will be paired with other to form a team if necessary. Contests include longest drive. straightest drive and closest ot the pin. Trophies will be awarded to th top three teams. There will also be door prizes given away. Chattata Valley Golf Club will host the Walker Valley Wrestling Golf Tournament June 13. Lunch will begin at noon with a shotgun start at 2 p.m. The cost of the 2-person, select shot tournament is $50 per person and includes green fee, cart and lunch. The ninth annual Cleveland Country Club Men’s Invitational will take place July 20-21. Amateur golfers from Cleveland and surrounding areas will have the opportunity to earn points for the 2013 Chattanooga TPC Championship. The field will consist of the first 144 paid entrants. The Lee University soccer camp will be held June 25–29 on the university campus. The camp runs 10 a.m.-3 p.m. daily and concludes at noon on Friday.The camp is designed for boys and girls ages 5-14 and will focus on ball skills and the technical development of young players in a fun and friendly environment. Lee men’s head soccer coach Paul Furey will serve as the director of the camp. The camp staff will be comprised of assistant coaches and top players to ensure an enjoyable and educating soccer experience. The Bradley Central High School Volleyball Camp will be held July 10-12 at Jum Smiddy Arena. Open to grades 3-8, the daily sessions will run from 9 a.m. until noon. The Walker Valley High School volleyball team will host its annual middle school camp July 22-24 from 12 noon-2 p.m. at the Ocoee Middle School gym. The cost is $30.
