Make reservations for FOLA event Oct. 16, 17 by Sept. 10

New York Times bestselling author Mark Gimenez will be this year’s Friends of the Library Fall Luncheon and Evening Event speaker on Oct. 16 and 18.

Gimenez has authored six books, with his latest titled “The Governor’s Wife.” FOLA has planned several events for the community to meet and to hear Gimenez talk about his books, writing and publishing.

Reservations to all the events will be accepted beginning Sept. 10 at the library. Copies of his books are available at the library and are for sale at the Circulation Desk.

There will be an Ebook Workshop on Sept. 7 from noon to 2 p.m. for those who need help downloading books from the library’s e-book collection for Amazon Kindles.

To reserve a spot call the Reference Desk or Non-fiction Desk located on the second floor of the library and bring your Kindle with you to the workshop.

This workshop is about downloading e-books and not a course on how to use your Kindle.

Tween Zone Movie Matinee will show Dr. Seuss’ “The Lorax” on Sept. 8 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The Tween Zone Movie Matinee meets once a month to screen movies for those ages 6-12.

The library will be closed Sept. 3 in observance of Labor Day.
