The Cleveland Bradley County Public Library will be installing a new automated library system from Auto-Graphics called VERSO the week of Nov. 11.

The library will be closed next week from Monday through Thursday to complete this process. There will be no books or audiovisual materials due during the closure.

VERSO is being acquired to help the library manage its resources and significantly improve patron information discovery and service delivery, said a library representative. Patrons will find this new system user friendly and with more features than the present system.

When searching for materials online you will see the book covers along with information on location and availability. There are also several filters to help you narrow or widen your search, to make it easier for patrons to do advanced searches.

Another new feature of this system is that patrons will be able to have different lists for books they want to keep track of, or sort as they choose.

Patrons will be able to reserve (hold) books and will be sent emails to let them know when materials are overdue.

Smartphones and tablet devices may not be compatible with the new system until early 2014.

Patrons can log onto the library website: and click on my account/card catalog, and enter their library card number and PIN number beginning Nov. 15.
