There are still tickets available for the Author Evening Event, featuring Chris Griffith and sponsored by the Friends of the Library Association. Come hear his “Crime Thriller Talk” April 24 at the Cleveland Country Club beginning at 7:30 p.m.

Ticket prices are $5 for the talk and free for students with an ID. There is a Meet the Author reception beginning at 6 p.m. with heavy hors d’oeuvres and wine. Reservations are $35 per person or $60 per couple. Space is limited for the reception and reservations will be accepted until Monday. Tickets can be purchased at the library or go to the library’s website to purchase them online.

Movie Night @ the Library featuring Oscar nominees will show “Gravity” Tuesday at 6:30 p.m., starring Sandra Bullock and George Clooney (rated PG-13).

Scribblers, a writing club for teens, ages 13-17, meets alongside Scribblers for Tween, ages 9-12, Thursday. This month, we’ll celebrate National Poetry Month by writing personal “I am from ...” poems modeled on the poem “Where I’m From” by George Ella Lyon.

Teens will be having an extended After Hours Saturday as they go “fancy” with a formal evening event from 7 to 11 p.m. Email teenzone@clevelandlibrary.org for more information.

The library is closed today for Easter Sunday and will reopen Monday with regular hours.
