Happy Father’s Day to all our dads!

“Dream Big … Read” summer reading program will present “Tour of the Universe” on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. in the Community Room.

“Solar System ambassador” John C. Mannone will discuss stargazing and where we are in the galaxy.

This event will be fun for ages 7 through adult.

Summer reading program movie, “Space Buddies,” will be shown in the Community Room at 2 p.m. on Wednesday.

“Raise Your Hand … Read!” day at the library is Thursday. There will be community volunteers reading all day long to groups of children to encourage reading.

This is a statewide effort to help Tennessee’s children succeed in school and in life.

All children are invited to come to the library during the day and hear our volunteers read stories in the Community Room.

There will be a library tour on Thursday at 4 p.m. This tour will take you behind the scenes to show you how the library operates.

Meet in the lobby to begin the tour which usually lasts around 45 minutes.

“Own the Night” teen program will be having game night on Friday and “Dracula” will be shown Saturday.

All activities are after hours and run from 7 until 9 p.m.

The next book club discussion group will be reading “Unbroken” by Laura Hillenbrand.

The book club will be held July 12 in the Community Room and the discussion will be led by Richard “Tiger” Jones.

All are invited to this open book club group.
