As 2012 winds down, your public library is gearing up with new programs and activities for our patrons.

Our classic movie night theme for 2013 will be “Famous Sleuths,” beginning with “One for the Money” on Jan. 29.

Join us each month for an entertaining family evening beginning at 7 p.m. with freshly popped popcorn. In addition to our “Famous Sleuths,” the library will show some documentaries and short films this year.

The first documentary will be the “Reverend Billy and the Church of Stop Shopping” which will be shown on Jan. 31, 2013, in the Community Room at 7 p.m.

To view a complete listing of all the films and documentaries, stop by the Circulation Desk or check out our website.

“Battle of the Bulge: Family Affair” will be held Jan. 15, 2013, at 7 p.m. in the Community Room. Andrea Lockerby, Consolidated School health supervisor at Bradley County Schools, will take a look at healthy eating habits for the whole family.

Looking for a job? The Career Coach will be in our parking lot on Jan. 18, 2013, from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. This 45-foot bus contains staff and computers to assist you with resumes and job listings. Call 472-2163 to reserve a time with a job coach.

The library will close early on Monday at 6 p.m. and then be closed on Jan. 1, 2013, for New Year’s Day.
