Landon Davon Thompson, 18, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Friday, May 23, 2014, at his residence.
He was a Nashville high school graduate and was employed by Comet Bounce party rentals.
He was preceded in death by a special cousin and friend, Brett Caroll.
He is survived by his father, Robert Steven Thompson, of Yazoo, Miss.; mother, Tracy Thompson Welker of Nashville; two sisters: Tori Thompson of Cleveland and Cara Owenby of Alexandria, Va.; special grandparents who raised him, Elizabeth Thompson and Larry Scroggins of Cleveland; grandfathers: Steve Thompson of Cleveland and Jack McCanless of Nashville; great-grandparents, Glenn and Ruby Thompson of Cleveland; special aunt, Pamela Thompson of Cleveland; aunts: Stephanie McCoy and husband, Darrell, of Cleveland, and Tricia McCanless of Nashville; uncle, Jack McCanless Jr. of Nashville; cousins: Jason and Kami Kirkendall, Christopher and Jessica Fink; and many special friends.
The funeral will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, May 29, 2014, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Anthony Howard officiating.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home prior to the service.
