The Lady Raiders have yet to find their sweet spot this season as they dropped another game to the visiting Lady Owls.

The run-rule shortened five inning game ended with Ooltewah topping Cleveland 13-0.

The Lady Raiders found themselves trailing with a six-run deficit after a brutal first inning.

The down-in-the-dumps team was able to hold the Lady Owls scoreless in the second. Sadly for the Lady Raiders, Ooltewah held them scoreless for the whole game.

The visitors scored two runs in the third, three runs in the fourth, and twice more in the fifth.

Allison Botts, Brittany Arnold, and Jasmine Martin all registered hits for Cleveland.

Earlier in the week Cleveland came close to getting its first win, against McMinn County, the Lady Raiders playing what was referred to as their best game yet.

After a 10-9 loss to the Tribe, the Lady Raiders traveled to Soddy-Daisy to battle the Trojans. That trip resulted in a disappointing 14-2 loss.

The Lady Raiders will travel to Knoxville Friday and Saturday to participate and hopefully get some wins in the Gibbs Tournament.

Their next home game will be against Polk County on Monday at 5 p.m., and the next district game is at 5 p.m. next Thursday, when the Rhea County Lady Eagles come to town.
