He was born in Cleveland, and lived in Vero Beach for 18 years coming from his birthplace.
He was a graduate of Bradley Central High School class of 1949 in Cleveland.
He served in the United States Army during the Korean conflict and Vietnam War. He served in the U.S. Army for 26 years until his retirement in 1990 as a lieutenant colonel.
He owned and operated Park Electric in Cleveland from 1966 until his retirement in 1998.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Estelle Park; and brothers: George Park and Gene Park.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Jo Park, of Vero Beach; sons: David Park of Bradenton, Fla. and Joe Park, both of Cleveland; daughters: Debbie Payne of Toccoa, Ga., and Jane Abbott of Ringgold, Ga.; stepdaughter, Larita Wright of Green Cove Springs, Fla.; sister, Ellen Davis of Cleveland; 18 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Walker officiating.
The family will receive friends from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home prior to the service.
