Jewell Hinkle, 88, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2013, in a local hospital.

She was the daughter of the late John and Sallie Dunn Hall. She was also preceded in death by her husband of more than 30 years, Arnold Lee Hinkle; son, Johnny Lee Hinkle; brother, Spence Hall; sisters: Jean Moore, Gladys Wilson and Ina Caldwell; and a special friend, Freddie Holcomb.

She was employed at M&M Mars and then became a dispatcher for A & K Cab company for more than 14 years. She loved to garden, cook and can, and was a member of Coahulla Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughters: Carolyn Myers and her husband, Dean, of Cleveland, Yvonne Laing and her husband, Thomas, of Hixson, Brenda Belcher and her husband, J.L., of Cleveland; sons: Ronnie Hinkle, Mike Hinkle and his wife, Karen, all of Cleveland; 16 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; sisters: Vivian McKean, Faye Long and Linda Ratcliff, all of Cleveland; brother, Verlon Hall of Cohutta Ga.; and several nieces and nephews.

A Remembrance of Life service will be held at noon, Friday, Nov. 15, 2013, at the Wildwood Chapel of Jim Rush Funeral Homes with the Revs. Lawrence Myers, the Rev. Doyle McCracken and Thomas Laing officiating.

Interment will follow in the Coahulla Baptist Church Cemetery with Billy Mayo, Jason Belcher, Todd Morrow, Jake Brock, Hagan Franklin and Jonathan Hinkle serving as pallbearers

The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 this evening at the funeral home.
