Hazel Chancey McClure, 91, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, in a local health care facility surrounded by her family.

She was a member of Peerless Road Church of God of Prophecy. She would have celebrated her 92nd birthday today, Feb. 17, 2013. She spent her entire life taking care of her family and being “MaMaw.”

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin McClure; her parents, Henry Franklin Chancey and Margaret “Maggie” Hawkins Chancey; three sisters: Beulah Cooper, Elaine Chancey, and Reba Chancey; and seven brothers: Lee Chancey, Clyde Chancey, Hoyt Chancey, Lake Chancey, Virl Chancey, Reed Chancey and Wyndom Chancey.

She is survived by a daughter, Martha Holt and husband, Willis of Charleston; grandchildren: Ginger and William Miolen of Marietta, Jeannie and Jimmy Ledford, and Roger Holt all of Cleveland; five great-grandchildren: Taylor, Kaylee, Maggie, Ethan and Jonas; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral will be held today, Feb. 17, 2013, at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastors Kay Horner and Brian Sutton officiating.

Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens with Doug Chancey, Mike Chancey, Franklin Chancey, Chris Koerner, Mike Koerner, and Jacob Koerner serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be J.C. Cagle, Ray Wynn, Buddy Linville, Don Sizemore, Robert Mitchell, Ron Chancey, and Raymond Chancey. A white dove release will conclude the ceremony.

The family will receive friends today from 1 to 3 p.m. prior to the service.
