COLUMBUS, Ga. — Lee sophomore outfielder Dominique Hannah was named the Southern States Athletic Conference Player of the Year during the annual conference softball banquet on Wednesday evening.

Hannah was joined on the All-SSAC team by outfielder Laurel Allen and first baseman Ana Coscorrosa. Jennifer Ringle was paired with freshmen Angie Hughes and Amanda Lynn on the SSAC All-Division team. Hughes and Lynn won double awards when they landed spots on the All-Freshman squad. Caroline MacAusland was also an All-Freshman selection.

Lee placed six players on the SSAC All-Academic team. Savanna, Bell, Jenevieve Cena, Kelli Crawford, Hannah Hight and Charlie Wooden joined Allen on the select squad. Crawford is the Lee Champion of Character representative.

The Lady Flames will begin play in the SSAC double-elimination today at 6 p.m. The NAIA’s third-ranked team will battle the winner of the earlier William-Carey (Miss.) and Emmanuel College game. A win would advance Lee to a Friday 12 p.m. game against the winner of Belhaven (Miss.) and Brewton-Parker College.
