Glen Raynell Carroll, 76, a lifelong resident of Cleveland, passed away Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013, at his home with his family by his side.

He was an avid Coon Hunter and was a well known carpenter for many years.

He was the son of the late Rufus Elmer Carroll and Sarah Carroll Beavers. He was also preceded in death by two sons: Wendell Glen Carroll and infant son, Dale Carroll; and several brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Shirley Gibson Carroll; two sons and wifes: Ray and Elizabeth Carroll, Mike and LaQuita Carroll, all of Cleveland; one daughter, Patricia Turner of Atlanta Ga.; three grandsons: Ray Turner and Paul Turner, both of Atlanta and Richie Carroll of Cleveland; one very special granddaughter, Hannah Carroll; one great-granddaughter; three great-grandsons; two sisters; and several nieces and nephews.

A Remembrance of Life service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013, at the North Chapel of Jim Rush Funeral Homes with the Rev. Dean Myers and the Rev. Doyle McCracken officiating.

Interment will follow in the Chilcutt Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 this evening at the funeral home.
