Garry Moore has announced he is a candidate for constable in the First District.

Moore has lived in Cleveland all his life. He has been married to Geneva Hughes Moore for 45 years. They have two children Jannifer Moore Hall and David Moore.

He said he attended Prospect School, Blythe Avenue, Bradley Central and Cleveland State Community College.

He retired from Greyhound Lines Inc. with 15 years of service.

He served three years with the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office.

In 1991, Moore started Moore Americas Best Tours. He purchased Bestway Travel in 1999 and is now Moore Bestway Travel.

He is a past president of the Prospect Rotarian Club. He is a member of the Mount Olive Church of God and is a noble of the Alhambra Shrine.

“I’m also a graduate of the Tennessee Law Enforcement Training Academy in Donelson.

“I am a firm believer in the Judea Christian belief as well as the motto ‘To Protect and to Serve,’” Moore said.

“A constable is a servant of the people. We protect the rights of people not destroy property to serve a summons or drag you or your children out and threaten you,” he said.

“We are here for you. Please get out and vote. Vote for me,” Moore said.
