According to a report filed by deputy John Davis of the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office, Doug Mathews of Mathews’ Used Cars said someone entered his car lot and cut the fuel lines on at least six vehicles.
The car lot is located on Harris Creek Trail.
Mathews discovered the theft and damage after he went to use a truck Tuesday which he had fueled up “late last week.”
“He inspected the truck and discovered fuel lines had been cut,” said Davis.
Further investigation revealed additional vehicles had been damaged as well.
Damage and loss to the vehicles was estimated at $900.
The area was placed on extra patrol for deputies, according to the report.

The theft was reported Sunday, according to a report filed by Mitchell Roe of the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office.
Charles Flint reported someone broke into his truck by breaking out a window.
A Pioneer KDC116 F CD player and Pioneer speakers were taken.
Loss was estimated at $100.
- Tennessee Highway Patrol will be conducting sobriety checkpoints in Bradley County beginning this weekend.
The checkpoints will be set up in random location in the county.
According to THP officials, checkpoints are an effective means of recognizing the dangers presented to the driving public by motorists who would violate the laws of the state.
All scheduled checkpoints are contingent upon weather conditions and manpower availability.
