The course will be on Feb. 1 at McMinn County High School, 2215 Congress Parkway, Athens, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Lunch will be provided and there will be door prizes and a drawing at the end of the class for three hive grants for new beekeepers.
The agenda will be “Why, What, How, Where and When of Beekeeping.” There will be several speakers and a panel for questions and discussion.
Beekeeping vendors will be set up and also tables to view materials related to beekeeping, including products of the hive, history of the Cherokee Beekeepers Association, reference materials, and vendor catalogs.
