He was the son of the late Rosa Viola Roberts Harden and Thomas Harden. He was preceded in death by his brothers: Lloyd “Chigger” Harden, Thomas “Fuzzy” Harden and Arlie “Tever” Harden.
He loved fishing, hunting and country music. He collected arrowheads. He was employed at Flowers Baker for 20 years where he mixed peanut butter.
Survivors include his wife of 20 years, Jewell Harden of Cleveland; three sisters: Susie Hall of Charleston, Molly Denton and her husband, Bill, of Birchwood and Sandy Harden of Cleveland; three brothers: Donnie Harden and his wife, Mona, of Athens, Ricky Harden and his wife, Brenda, of Birchwood and Terry Harden of Soddy Daisy; and several nieces and nephews.
The Remembrance of Life service will be Tuesday, July 30, 2013, at 1 p.m. from the Wildwood Avenue Chapel of Jim Rush Funeral Homes with Pastor Jessie Millsaps and the Rev. Annette White officiating.
Interment will follow in the Grasshopper Cemetery with family and friends surviving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 this evening at the funeral home.
