JAMES C. DOBBS was recently elected to lead the Cherokee District Ruritans in 2014. The district, which has 14 clubs, has a strong membership of approximately 800 members. Dobbs is a member of the Oak Grove Ruritan Club. He has served as zone governor, district lieutenant governor and Oak Grove’s club secretary. Also taking office are John Patterson of Crossroad Club as lieutenant governor; Jennifer Bryan of McDonald/Black Fox, district secretary; and Joyce Johnson of Westside Club, district treasurer. Ruritan clubs have been improving communities and building a better America through fellowship, goodwill and community service. There are more than 1,100 clubs in 25 states across the United States.
