At 3 p.m. today, Southern Adventist University and the Friends of White Oak Mountain will continue its collaboration by coming together and dedicating the new Cottontail trail.
The Cottontail trail is a challenging gravity flow trail, which is a single-track trail that includes bermed turns, drops, bridges, and other wooden features. While this trail will be a part of the 20 miles of trails in the Biology Trail system, it was built with more advanced riders in mind.
“We are excited about how the new Cottontail trail develops our trail system into something the Southern Adventist University and Chattanooga may be proud of,” said Chris Carey, vice president for Advancement of Southern.
“We thank the volunteers and leadership of Friends of White Oak Mountain who have taken this project to the next level.”
