To The Editor:

“It stopped just short of a fistfight.”

This was the lead to a news article in the Banner regarding the sheriff candidates debate.

The article was written by Brian Graves, and he started the article quoting someone (who knows who?) regarding the debate.

This is a totally misleading and inaccurate statement and not even close to being truthful or factual.

Both Sheriff Ruth and Rep. Eric Watson were never even close to a fistfight. They both conducted themselves better than that.

To head a news article on the front page of the Banner with such an inaccurate statement when neither candidate was ever close to a fight is misleading the public.

You all can do better than this!
