Davidson, Shin lead WVHS’s graduation

Walker Valley High School graduation will be held Thursday at 7:30 p.m. in the school’s McKenzie Athletic complex.

Graduating as valedictorian will be Kyle Davidson and the salutatorian will be Meeri Shin. Both students have a 4.0 GPA.

Davidson is the son of Todd and Lara Davidson. During his time at Walker Valley, he was involved in the Walker Valley Marching Band, the Mustang Jazz Band and Jazz Combo, BETA Club and National Honor Society. He was also active in the First United Methodist Church of Cleveland youth group.

Davidson will be attending Lee University in the fall to study music education.

Shin is the daughter of Andy and Soonja Shin. During her time at Walker Valley, she was involved in Anchor Club, FBLA, HOSA, Key Club, Diamond Darlings, soccer, marching band and concert band, track and Keystone. She also participated in the Governors School for the Sciences, Volunteer Girl's State and the VEC Youth Leadership Conference.

Shin plans to attend the University of California at Berkeley next year and double major in microbiology and political science.
