SOLD! …actually, the developers of Hancock Oaks kept this new Home of the Week for themselves. This featured custom-designed Home of the Week is located at Hancock Oaks Trace and has nearly 3,000 square feet of living space. Anthony and Kristin Nelson, the new house’s owners, have additional lots for sale in the subdivision located just off Highway 64 and Hancock Road. This multilevel dwelling is situated on a nice lot — beautifully landscaped, including sidewalks and a concrete driveway. Added touches are custom stone works. The stone exterior is complemented with architectural vinyl siding as accents. Once through the front door, the homeowners will begin to experience the “eye-appeal” amenities added to the house. Custom paint colors were used throughout the home. A formal dining area is situated near the modern kitchen. Custom-wood floors were also placed in the dining, kitchen and living room areas of the home. The main living area features an open-air feel with a high ceiling as well as beautiful custom moldings, which have been expertly finished. A custom fireplace was also added to the main living area. The Nelsons also utilized space and added a built-in bookcase. Plenty of granite counter space was provided along with cabinets, complementing the wood floors. New energy-efficient appliances were also installed in the kitchen. At the rear of the new home, a spacious, relaxing and large covered but open-air deck awaits family members. The deck is situated near the kitchen. Accent lighting was used throughout the home. The home has two bedrooms and two full baths and one half-bath which is located on the main level. The bonus area can also be used for sleeping. Just off the spacious master suite, a large bath featuring a sunken garden tub, glass and custom stone shower and large walk-in closet for clothing is furnished. A small dressing table has also been constructed in the master bath. Granite counters were also utilized in this bath as well as the smaller shared bath for the two other bedrooms. Tile was used in all bath areas and a utility room. A finished bonus area upstairs has plenty of potential if the new owner feels the need. Energy efficiency was also in order. Additions which will save money in the future include quality insulation, insulated vinyl windows, ceiling fans and others. The home also features a two-car garage on the main level, complete with electronic openers. Alarm systems have also been placed in the home. Cable, ceiling fans and a central heat and air unit are also included amenities. The home also has basement workspace or storage and a garage door entry. In the interest of furthering safety, a storm shelter was constructed. All total, 2,800 square feet of living space has been provided. Markeitta Munck is the Realtor for the Hancock Oaks community.
