Curtis Dillard, 87, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Monday, April 14, 2014, at Clare Bridge of Cleveland.
He was born Aug. 30, 1926, in Dayton.
He was a member of the Candies Creek Baptist Church, a past member of Calvary Baptist Church in Battle Creek, Mich. He moved from Dayton to Battle Creek in Nov. 1952 and lived in Battle Creek until 2002 when he moved to Cleveland.
He was employed 1953-1972 with the U.S. Register Company, 1972-1975 with Clark Equipment Co., 1975-1994 with Post Cereal until his retirement.
He enjoyed gardening, working outdoors, and getting together with his family.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Cochran Dillard; parents, Ernest and Ida Dillard; brothers: Jasper, Hanson, Lee, David and Eugene; sisters: Leona Reed, Mildred Cox, Sybil Wilkey and Peggy Yates; mother and father-in-law, Leela and Willie Cochran.
Survivors include his daughters: Connie Dillard of Cleveland and Janis Dillard of Battle Creek; and several nieces, nephews and sisters and brothers-in-law.
The visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, April 17, 2014.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Coulter-Garrrison Funeral Home in Dayton with Pastor Jamie Work officiating.
Interment will be in Smith-Wilkey Cemetery in Spring City at 9 a.m. Friday.
