To The Editor:

I wanted to take time to thank all of our emergency responders who came to the rescue last Friday (Feb. 8) after a car accidentally crashed into our brick wall beside the nursing home facility, Signature HealthCARE of Cleveland, rupturing a gas line.

A situation that could have been much worse was contained with the help of our local fire and EMS workers, and other community organizations. Had we needed them to, our local hospital, SkyRidge Medical Center, and other area nursing homes offered to take in our residents.

Thankfully, we were able to temporarily relocate our residents from the wing near the site of the crash to other areas of the facility. Neither our residents nor those involved in the crash were injured.

All of our residents’ needs were met as gas service was repaired over the weekend. I have no doubt that God’s hands were on this building, and I’m so grateful to serve in a community willing to show such generosity at a moment’s notice.
