Greene receives master’s degree from Trevecca Nazarene Univ.

Kyle Thomas Greene received his master of arts in teaching degree during Trevecca Nazarene University’s 111th commencement in Nashville. He graduated with a 3.8 GPA. Greene is the son of Bobby and Pam Greene of Cleveland. He ie employed with the Murfreesboro City Schools system as a physical education teacher and he is an assistant baseball coach for Riverdale High School.

Moody named to dean’s list at Roane State Community College

Leila Moody of McDonald made the spring 2012 dean’s list at Roane State Community College.

To be eligible, a student must attain at least a 3.5 GPA while attempting 12 or more semester hours of college-level courses.

Roane State is a two-year college providing transfer curricula, career-preparation programs and continuing education. Founded in 1971, the college has campuses in Crossville, Harriman, Huntsville, Jamestown, Knoxville, LaFollette, Lenoir City, Oak Ridge and Wartburg.

Emily Rae Glass of Mathews, N.C. graduated May 13, 2012, from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Glass, daughter of Sandra Glass and the late Ray Glass of Cleveland, graduated with honors with a degree in clinical laboratory science.

Local residents earn honors at Tennessee Wesleyan College

ATHENS — The following local residents were among those honored for academic achievement by being included in the Dean’s or Honors list at Tennessee Wesleyan.

Murphy of Cleveland, a senior English major; Joshua Dwain Williams of Calhoun, a sophomore human resources management major; and Logan Andrew Young of Delano, a sophomore pre-physical therapy major.

To be eligible for the Honors List, a student must be registered for 12 or more hours and attain a GPA of at least 3.70 with no grade below B. To be eligible for the Dean’s List, a student must be registered for 12 or more hours and attain a grade point average of at least 3.40 with no grade below C.
