DESPITE elimination of Morse code from amateur radio licensing procedures in 2007, one of the oldest modes of communication is still widely used. Dr. Ron Akers and Jack McCarty instructed a class at the Cleveland Amateur Radio Club and certificates were recently presented when the participants achieved sending and receiving five words per minute.
