Clarence Thomas Roberts, 62, a resident of Cleveland, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2013.

He was born in Kentucky on Dec. 3, 1950, a son of the late Anna Daniels Roberts.

He has made Cleveland his home for the past 25 years. He was a member of Grace Community Church of God. He was a former volunteer fireman with the Gilbert West Virginia Volunteer Fire Department. He was employed as a meat cutter with Save-A-Lot in Cleveland.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife of 41 years, Alice L. Roberts; one daughter, Cheryl Roberts of Cleveland; one sister, Anna Lee Collins of Forest Hills, Ky.; one granddaughter, Ciara Roberts; one niece, Shelia Long of Forest Hills; and other extended family members, church family and a host of special friends.

A celebration of his life is planned for Saturday night, Aug. 17, 2013, at 7 p.m. at Grace Community Church of God, 4745 Mouse Creek Road N.W., in Cleveland with Pastor Kevin Mendel officiating.

The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday afternoon from 5:30 until service time.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to the Grace Community Church of God Building Fund in Clarence’s memory.
