East Side Church of Christ’ Youth Day will be held Saturday, beginning at 9 a.m. A gospel meeting will begin on Sunday, April 28, at 9:30 and 10:30 a.m., as well as 6 p.m., and Monday through May 1 at 7 nightly. The speaker will be Chris Clevenger from Chapel Hill.

Pastor’s Appreciation Day to welcome new pastor the Rev. Glen Gattenby and his wife, Lonna, will be held Sunday, 10 a.m., at Cottonport Road Church of God in Decatur. There will be a covered-dish luncheon in the fellowship hall.

Brittsville Baptist Church, 2650 Brittsville Road, will have a memorial service Sunday, 10:45 a.m., to recognize and remember those from many years past who have died doing God’s will in the building of the church.

The Joyful Hearts from Alabama and The Freemans will be at Good Hope Baptist Church, Sunday at 6 p.m. There will be food and fellowship to follow.

Aaron Wilburn, funnyman, songwriter and singer, will be in concert at Elkmont Baptist Church Saturday at 7 p.m. The concert is free, but a love offering will be taken.

The Good Shepherd Quartet from Pennington, Va., will be at Ball Play Baptist Church, Old Fort, Saturday at 7 p.m.

The Christian Gospelaires will sing Sunday, 11:15 a.m., at Trinity Chapel, 2779 APD 40 S.E.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormons) will hold its annual Day of Service Saturday. Volunteers are to meet between 8 and 8:30 a.m. for assignments at 4200 Pryor Drive N.E.

Winston Ledford and Terry Ledford will lead revival services at 7 tonight and Saturday at the Kinser Church of God Pavilion, across from the church on Kinser Road.

Homecoming will be celebrated Sunday, beginning at 10 a.m., at Echoes of Mercy Baptist Church. Special singing will be by the Greesons of Chickamauga, Ga.

A Fourth Sunday Southern Gospel Sing will be held Sunday, 6 p.m., at Victory Drive Church of God. Local singers will be singing, including Ray Branham and Family, Donna, George and Caleb Coleman, the Vaughn Cunningham Family, Doris Garner, Jack Martin, the Rev. Fred Brannen, Bill and Ann Wilson and others.
