Cecil D. Dornak, 87, of Bay City, Texas, died Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2013.
He was born Sept. 8, 1926, in El Campo, Texas, to the late Joseph Dornak and Martha Michna Dornak.
He retired from Dow Chemical after 35 years.
He was a loving husband and father who gave generously of his time and talents. He was an avid hunter and a friend to all. After retirement, he volunteered many hours at the food pantry in Lake Jackson, Texas.
His first wife, Oleavia Dornak, and sisters, Rita Osina and Marilyn Young, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife of 20 years, Frances Dornak of Bay City; daughter, Deborah Crass and husband, Stephen, of Cleveland; sons: Denny Dornak of San Antonio, Texas, and Alan Dornak of New York, N.Y.; and three grandchildren.
A rosary will be recited at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25, 2013, at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Bay City. Mass will follow at 2 p.m. and will be officiated by the Rev. Greg Korenek.
Interment will follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in El Campo, Texas.
