Carl “Tommy” Cash Jr., 63, a lifelong resident of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday morning, June 10, 2014, at his home.
He was born on Dec. 21, 1950, a son of the late Carl Sr. and Mary Cash. He was an honorably discharged veteran of the United States Army after faithfully serving his country. He was retired from the Bradley County School System where he served in the maintenance department for many years. He was an avid fisherman and loved the great outdoors.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Karen Elaine Cash; sister, Mary Dixon; and brother, Jimmy Cash.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his two sons: Jason Cash and Brandon Cash and wife, Tracey; two grandchildren: Chealsea Sadler and Knox Cash; sister-in-law, Connie Street; brother-in-law, Harold Dixon; and numerous other extended family members and a host of special friends.
A celebration of Tommy’s life is planned for 7 p.m. today, June 13, 2014, in the chapel of Companion Funeral Home, 2419 Georgetown Road, with the Rev. Herb Conley officiating.
The family will receive friends today from 5 until the 7 p.m. service time.
The service will conclude with military honors to honors Tommy’s service to his country.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society in Tommy’s memory.
