The Rev. Carl “Taylor” Colbaugh went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 24, 2013, at his residence.

He was a retired minister and a member of Shiloh Baptist Church. He was a member of Meigs Masonic Lodge 213 F&AM.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hubert William and Willie Laura (Brown) Colbaugh; sister, Jackie Arnold; and brothers: Ralph Colbaugh, Charles Colbaugh, John L. Colbaugh.

He is survived by his wife, Allene Colbaugh of Decatur; two sons and daughter-in-laws: Teddie and Carol Ann Colbaugh and Carl William and Kim Colbaugh, all of Decatur; one daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Randy Benton of Decatur; three brothers and sister-in-laws: George Colbaugh, Bertha Colbaugh, Harles and Diane Colbaugh, all of Decatur, Kenneth and Ann Colbaugh of Harrison; one sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Red Roberts of Riceville; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a host of friends who loved him very much. He will be missed by all who knew him.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, March 28, 2013, in the chapel of Bowers Funeral Home in Decatur with the Revs. Landon Harden and Mike King officiating.

Interment will be in the Shiloh Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m., Wednesday with a Masonic service at 8 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Justin Colbaugh, Derek Colbaugh, Nash Benton, Austin Colbaugh, Ryan Aikman and Nicholas Benton.
