Ashlee Diane Cardwell will become the bride of Joshua Douglas Hawkins, both of Knoxville, in a 5:30 p.m. ceremony on March 15, 2014, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Knoxville.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Ken and Crystal Cardwell of Knoxville. She is the granddaughter of Gaines and Edwina Lewis of Knoxville, David Cardwell of Knoxville and the late Lila Cardwell. She is the sister of Lacy Cardwell-Hudson of Knoxville.

Miss Cardwell is a 2003 graduate of Karns High School and a 2007 graduate of the University of Tennessee at Knoxville with a bachelor of science degree. She received her doctor of pharmacy degree in 2011 from the University of Tennessee College of Pharmacy and is employed by Walgreen’s Pharmacy. She is a member of Faith United Methodist Church in Knoxville.

The future bridegroom is the son of Willa Hawkins of Cleveland and the late John D. Hawkins. He is the grandson of Harold and Wilmetta Copus of Findlay, Ohio, and Johnnie Ruth Crump of Cleveland. He is the brother of John David Hawkins of Cleveland.

Mr. Hawkins is a 1999 graduate of Cleveland High School and a 2003 graduate of Carson-Newman College with a bachelor of arts degree. He received his master’s of health science in physician assistant studies from South College in 2009 and is employed by Tennessee Orthopaedic Clinic. He is a member of Sevier Heights Baptist Church in Knoxville.
