Calvin H. Harvey, 88, of Cleveland, died Tuesday, July 23, 2013, at his residence.

He served with the 7th Armored Division in Germany during World War II. After serving with the Army in 1944 and 1945, he returned home in Cleveland and began working at the Princess Theater and remained in the theater work for 45 years, serving as manager of the Bohemia, Princess, Village and Carmike Four Theaters, all in Cleveland until his retirement in 1990.

He was a member of Big Spring United Methodist Church. He was a life member of the 7th Armored Division and Will Rogers and a former member of the VFW, American Legion and the Lions Club for many years.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Harvey; and parents, Wayne and Ida Harvey.

Survivors include one stepson, Don Alan Mullinax of Cleveland; two grandsons; one granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, July 26, 2013, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with the Rev. Ray Petty officiating.

A private interment will be held for the family.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
