Burglary, vandalism calls reported to law enforcement

A 27th Street resident reported his home had been entered by burglars.

According to a report filed by deputy Doug Boucher, the burglary occurred at the home of John Dodd.

Dodd said someone broke a door glass to gain entry.

Once inside the home, the burglars entered a bedroom and took clothing and a television.

The TV was described as being a 40-inch model.

Damage to the front door was noted.

According to the report, the missing property was valued at $425.

Investigation is continuing.

n On Monday, deputies also responded to a vandalism call on Shadow Wood Drive.

Deputy Bryan Chancey spoke with Marchell Duncan, who said someone broke her windshield from her 2000 Honda Accord.

The incident was believed to have occurred late last week.

Damage was estimated at $300.

n Three residents of Ivy Way reported their mailboxes had been vandalized.

According to a report filed by deputy David Harper, Jeff Duncan said he heard a loud noise and went outside his home to investigate.

When Duncan stepped outside, he found three mailboxes pulled from their posts and a man walking up the street.

Harper attempted to locate the suspect after arriving in the neighborhood, but was unable to make contact.

Damage was estimated at $50.
