Taylor Anne Akins of Cleveland became the bride of Brian G. Brooks of Benton in an evening ceremony on July 6, 2010, at the residence of David and Jan Darden.

The bride is the daughter of Mitchell and Julian Humphreys of Cleveland. She is the granddaughter of Linda Humphreys and Don and Darlene Akins, all of Cleveland, and Marvin Humphreys of Polk County. She is the sister of Chelsey Humphreys of Cleveland.

The bridegroom is the son of Donna Brooks of Benton and the late Gregg Brooks. He is the grandson of the late Lynn Brooks, Roy and Betty Couch of Brewton, Ala., and the late Martin and Charlotte Fuller. He is the brother of Jennifer Brooks Beck of Marietta, Ga., and Matthew Brooks of Maryville.

The wedding was officiated by Kevin Mendal, pastor of Grace Community Church.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride was attended by her sister Chelsey as maid of honor. Her daughter, Makayla Brooks of Benton, was flower girl.

Curtis Hicks of Cleveland served as best man and Lynn Burgess of Benton was groomsman.

Mrs. Brooks is a graduate of Polk County High School. Mr. Brooks is a graduate of Perry High School. Both are members of First Baptist Church of Cleveland.
