RINGGOLD, Ga. — A number of local golfers traveled south of the Georgia state line to Ringgold’s Windstone Golf Club on Monday for another stop on the Tennessee Golf Association’s Junior Tour, with two of them bringing home first place trophies.

In the Girls 16-18 Masters Division, Ocoee’s Heidi Barringer claimed the top spot after shooting an 85. The Cleveland High Lady Raider carded a 48 before the turn, but shaved 11 strokes off that tally for a 1-over-par 37 on the back nine.

In the Boys 10-13 Tour Division, Matthew Marino shot a 3-over-par 39 in the nine-hole competition, which gave him a first place finish.

Charleston’s Rheagan Hall and Danielle Bates, of Benton, tied for second in the Girls 15-under Masters with 83s. Hall shot a 43-40, while Bates carded a 41-42 tally.

In the Boys 16-18 Masters, Cleveland High’s Tucker Jones was also fifth after shooting a 38-44 — 82.

Gage Brakebill finished fifth in the Boys 13-under Masters after shooting a 45 on nine holes.

A 103 total gave Caleb Craig a third place finish in the Boys 16-18 Tour. Craig shot a 58 before the turn and trimmed that by 13 strokes for a 45 on the back nine.

Noah Grady finished 10th in the Boys 13-15 Tour, with a 125.
