“Made to Crave” class will be at the YMCA on each Tuesday from 9 to 10:30 a.m. until Oct. 29. The class, for ages 16 and up, will be led by Ruthie Forgey, who recently lost more than 155 pounds. Take Charge of Your Diabetes six-week course will begin Monday and continue Oct. 7, 14, 21 and 28, concluding Nov. 4. Classes are from 2 to 4 p.m. each day. The course is a fun, skill-building program designed for persons with diabetes and is designed to help individuals take day-to-day responsibility for the care of their diabetes. Celebrate fall With the Salvation Army’s Fall Festival. This event is sponsored by the men’s ministry of the Cleveland Salvation Army. The fall fun will be on Oct. 12, from noon to 4 p.m. at College Hill Recreation Center located at 264 Berry St. The festival offers family-friendly activities for all ages.
