An Evening with crime novelist C. A. Griffith will be presented by the Friends of the Library Association on Thursday at the Cleveland Country Club. Griffith is a retired major with the Cobb County (Ga.) Sheriff’s Office. There will be an author reception at 6 p.m. and Author Talk at 7:30 p.m. A question-and-answer session and book signing will follow. Tickets are still available. Master Gardeners and Magnolia Garden Club members will be at ACE Hardware Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. to answer questions about what and how to plant flowers and vegetables or about projects the groups are involved in. The public is invited to stop by to talk with club members and gardeners.
