INAUGURAL ART ON THE GREENWAY event on Saturday will showcase the new Phase 5 connector and parks’s piece of artwork, “Sitting Tall,” by Cleveland sculptor Joshua Coleman. Registration for the 5K Run and 1-Mile Walk/Fun Run begins at 7 a.m. and the race/walk at 8 a.m. Proceeds from the event will support the diverse community impact programs at St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church. Dining with Diabetes school will continue on Monday and Thursday with class times from 5 to 7 p.m. each session. The classes will be held at the UT Extension-Bradley County Extension Building, 95 Church St. S.E., in downtown Cleveland. For class and registration information, contact the office at 728-7001.

“Jump Into Kindergarten” will be held for incoming kindergarteners and their parents to tour the library on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. and Saturday at 11 a.m. The kindergarteners will have a special storytime and discuss getting their own library card. Call the Children’s Desk for more information.

BCHS class of 1959 will hold its annual reunion Saturday at Hardee’s on Keith Street from 3 to 8 p.m. The early start time is to allow those with night vision issues to be able to attend and be home before dark. Lego Club begins Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. in the Children’s Room. This is a “Tween” activity for those ages 7 through 12. Lego Club will be getting ready for its big Lego Weekend which will be held Nov. 3 and 4. Club creations will be displayed. There will be hands-on activities for adults as well as our young patrons and Star War Characters will be attending the festivities.

Teen Zone After Hours will be Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. for teens ages 13 through 17. Activities are planned by the Teen Advisory Group which meets the first Monday of the month.

“Road to Singapore,” this month’s classic comedy movie with Bob Hope and Bing Crosby, will be Aug. 28 at 7 p.m. in the Cleveland Bradley Community Room. Enjoy fresh popcorn during this family friendly movie classic.

2012 CAPTIVATING FASHION SHOW, a red carpet event, will be Sept. 29 at 11 a.m., at Lee University’s Dixon’s Center. All of the name brand outfits and voguish shoes are from second-hand stores. The models are local people from the community. Tickets can be purchased at www.riverworshipcenter.com or by calling 309-8346. General admission is $15 and VIP admission is $35. All of the proceeds will go to Mercy’s Door Children’s Home. After the show, the clothing items will be sold — just like a real New York Fashion Show!
